Dairy Queen is now serving a cotton candy dipped ice cream cone at some locations

The rumors are spreading and a cursory glance at DQ’s online menu confirms they are true: Cotton Candy Dipped Cones are a thing, and if they’re not already available at your neighborhood Dairy Queen, they could be coming soon.

The world-famous vanilla soft-serve ice cream cones are dipped in sweet, robin’s egg blue, cotton candy-flavored coating.

Although the website listing says the flavor is coming soon, it appears that they are already available in some locations. Check out this delicious-looking treat:

Pics of the tempting blue cones are popping up on social media. It’s safe to say that the cones are a big hit with those lucky enough to have tried them already.

The cones were apparently available briefly last year, when Delish wrote about rumors that Canadian customers were able to try them. So it looks like they’re back and will be more widely available, which is great news if they’re as delicious as everyone says!

DQ locations are among the ones talking about the treat, of course. The Blair Mill Dairy Queen in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, opened for the season recently and just posted this on Instagram:

And @officialdoctorsquish shared a boomerang of an actual cone being dipped.

“Y’all y’all y’all!!! This is not a drill!! There is a COTTON CANDY dipped cone at Dairy Queen!!! I may have fainted for a second,” she posted.

Bloggers Jason and Jeni of Snack Gator share reviews of the latest snack products on their blog and on Instagram, and they were very excited about the new addition.

“OMG! OMG! Dairy Queen is so much more than just Dilly Bars and Blizzards,” they wrote in an IG post. “Their dipped cones are legendary – remember the Dreamsicle Dipped Cone that hit last spring? Well, now they just upped their game with a brand new Cotton Candy Dipped Cone. And it’s everything you would hope it would be. It’s a festively spring baby blue color, and tastes just like blue cotton candy. In fact, it’s a very close match to the cream filling in the limited edition Cotton Candy Twinkie! It should be hitting Dairy Queens around the country this week (if you’re lucky, you might be able to get it now)! SO GOOD!”

Doesn’t their description make you want to try one?

Parts of Texas look like a safe bet for trying these cones, since some of the most recent social media posts are from people finding them in the Lone Star State:

But if Cotton Candy Dipped Cones aren’t at your local DQ quite yet, don’t fret. Delish says that the coveted flavor will be available at stores across the U.S. on March 19. The Blair Mill Dairy Queen confirmed in its replies to inquiries in the comments that all American locations should be serving these dipped desserts within the month.

Are you excited to sample this super sweet treat?
