‘Boy Meets World’ star Danielle Fishel is expecting her second child

Danielle Fishel is expecting her second child. The “Boy Meets World” star and her husband, Jensen Karp, announced the big news on Instagram on Fishel’s 40th birthday on May 5. The pair share son Adler Lawrence, who was born in June 2019.

“F O R T Y!” she reflected in the caption of a photo showing off her growing baby bump. “I’ve never been more excited or hopeful for the next decade of my life. I had a beautiful childhood, teenage years I still dream about, my 20s were insane (and mostly miserable) and my 30s brought me lows and highs but eventually, I leveled out to a place of security. Security in who I am, what I believe, and with whom I want to spend precious time.”

Then she went on to the pregnancy announcement and outlined a birthday wish.

“I couldn’t be more grateful to enter my 40s with my amazing husband and son, excitedly expecting the arrival of baby boy #2,” she posted. “My birthday wish is for all of you to tell someone how much you love them and walk through today with more patience than you normally might.”

Karp also took to Instagram to share the news and wish his wife a happy birthday, writing, “Happy 40th birthday to my life partner, a team captain and the greatest mom to our now soon to be 2 boys.”

In an essay for “Good Morning America” in 2019, Fishel wrote about motherhood and the challenges of “mom guilt,” saying that her first son’s birth didn’t go exactly as planned when she went into labor four weeks early and her unborn child was found to have fluid in his chest cavity. She urged women to support each other.

“None of us escape mom-guilt. It’s there whether you’re a stay-at-home mom or work outside the house, but one there is one thing I know for certain each and every mother has in common: We are trying our absolute best 100% of the time,” she wrote. “The next time you see a mom with her baby or young child, look her in the eye and honestly tell she’s doing an amazing job. Because you are, mama. I see you and you’re doing great.”
