Disney is hiring park experts for its 2020 Disney Parks Moms panel

Do you consider the place you live to be your second home, with a Disney park being your first? Do you know exactly which attractions you will visit and at what time whenever you spend a day at Disneyland or Disneyworld? Do you offer friends (and maybe even strangers) tips on how to have the best Disney vacation ever?

Have we got a job for you! Well, not “we,” per se, but we know a guy who knows a mouse.

The 2020 Disney Parks Moms Panel Search Is Here

The folks at Disney recently announced that the search for the 2020 Disney Parks Moms Panel will open at noon ET on September 5, 2019, and will run through noon ET on September 12, 2019. That means you need to apply now!

Learn everything you need to know to toss your name into the mouse ears hat.

In this role, you join other panelists in participating in an online forum for answering questions from people planning Disney vacations.

Who Can Try Out?

As the title denotes, moms who know Disney might want to apply to be a Disney Parks Moms Panel member. But mothers are not the only eligible applicants. Dads, grandparents or any adults who meet the eligibility requirements can give it a go.

“The perfect ‘Mom’ doesn’t have to be a mom at all,” the application page says. “Our ideal panelist simply has a passion for sharing their tried and tested experiences from planning their own Disney Parks vacations.”

Ready to apply? Make sure you meet these requirements for potential panelists:

  • Be age 18 or older.
  • Own a computer with internet access.
  • Have visited either Disneyland or Disney World in the past 12 months at least once.
  • Be able to submit an autobiography, opinions and tips, and responses to a weekly minimum of 10-20 questions from people planning a Disney vacation.

You should also be available to travel to Disney World between December 11 and December 15, 2019, for training (without any guests).

This is an unpaid gig, but panelists will receive a Disney World or Disneyland vacation for four.

Getting The Job

The application will ask you if you work in an industry that would pose a conflict of interest and if you meet the requirements above. Additionally, Disney wants to know if you’re bilingual. If you have a Disney property you want to be considered an expert in, there will be an opportunity to note that.

On the initial two-page application, you’ll also provide personal information about your family and details about your Disney vacations. You will also be asked to answer a sample question.

After online applications are received, there will be three rounds in the selection process. Disney will ask you to write short essays and answer more sample questions, and each round will include more application requirements like these. You’ll also have to submit photos and videos.

According to Red Tricycle, you’ll be competing with the thousands of people who apply every year. Disney currently has 33 diverse panelists with different specialties, such as Disney World, Disneyland, Disney cruises or the Disney Vacation Club.

“The 2020 Panel will be selected based on their personal experiences with Disney destinations, their communications skills in sharing Disney knowledge and their ability to connect with guests looking for practical, helpful advice from their peers,” MickeyBlog.com reports.

Final selections will be made by early November so that the selected moms can start in 2020.
