Disney is selling a Groot cup—and we need one now

Disney has got us in a tizzy again—this time over drinkware. The straw cup responsible for the frenzy sports an adorable potted Groot. And, we can’t get enough.

If you are a Guardians of the Galaxy fan (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?) you need to get (run) to Disneyland—now. The new cup celebrates Disney California Adventure’s newest ride: Guardians of the Galaxy Mission—BREAKOUT! The experience opened this Saturday, and if line wait times are any indication, this is one sweet ride.

Made sweeter, of course, by the awesome Groot cup. Who could mind a five-hour wait when you have a little dancing Groot sipper?

According to Disney, the ride promises to be as thrilling as the cup—“showcasing all-new special effects, appearances by popular characters, music inspired by the soundtracks from the films, and ‘big thrill”’drop sequences with a free-fall sensation that’ll have you screaming for more, this is one adventure you won’t want to miss.”

Can’t make it to California? Don’t worry, the “I am Groot” cup is also available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando. At either park you can snag the cup for $12.75 with your choice of beverage. Or, if you are desperate and need it now, we feel you. Some clever folks are selling the coveted sippers on eBay, but you’ll pay a hefty price—the cups are going for $30 and up at this time.

Not since the Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Rose cup has a cup had us swooning. But, swoon we must. Anyone going to Disney? Can you pick us up one? Or 12?
