“Lizzie McGuire” is coming back! Disney is rebooting the popular 2000s TV series with the beloved title character now 30 years old and living in New York City.

The show, which ran for four seasons, followed the adventures of a teen girl as she navigated middle school.

The new series will focus on McGuire in her dream job as an apprentice to a top interior designer. It will also feature the same animated alter ego that her character had in the series.

For the reboot, Duff revealed that her character is engaged to a guy who is a chef at a Soho restaurant, and she’s living in an apartment in Brooklyn. According to Insider, the show won’t tell us how McGuire got to this point in her life — it just sort of picks up there.

The actress told “Good Morning America” on Aug. 23 that there may be appearances by actors who played the original characters, but she didn’t specify who. Will her love interest Gordo return? We’ll have to tune in and find out.

The reboot will be part of the new Disney+ streaming service that launches Nov. 12 in the U.S., Canada and in the Netherlands. It’s not clear yet when the show will debut or how many episodes there will be, so stay tuned for more info.

If you never saw “The Lizzie McGuire Movie” that debuted in 2003, you can stream it on Showtime. In the film, McGuire graduated from middle school and went on the trip of a lifetime to Italy, where she is mistaken for a famous local singer.

In addition to the “Lizzie McGuire” reboot, 31-year-old Duff is also the star of the TV show “Younger,” which was recently renewed for its seventh season.

The actress has also been really busy in her off-screen life, too. She shares a 7-year-old son Luca with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie. She has an 8-month-old daughter named Banks whom she shares with fiancé Matthew Koma.

Her young daughter made headlines recently when she was taken to the hospital for an infected bug bite on her face! Fortunately, Duff told Fox News it was minor and that her baby girl is fine now.

Look how sweet she is in this Instagram post by Duff:

What an adorable baby!

We’re looking forward to seeing Duff on-screen once again as Lizzie McGuire, and we wonder what else Disney+ is cooking up for fans!
