If you need a little Christmas right this very minute, then have we have some magical things to share with you! The ultimate magic-makers at Walt Disney World transformed almost overnight once their Halloween celebrations ended on Nov. 1. The spooky decorations came down and within a day or two, the theme parks were filled with some of the most beautiful holiday sights you can imagine. Each year, Disney World goes all out on bringing the Christmas spirit to life around the resort and 2017 is no different.
Ready to take a tour of how Walt Disney World celebrates Christmas and the rest of the holiday season? Let’s start at the Magic Kingdom!
Christmas Magic At The Magic Kingdom
The original Florida Disney theme park is truly the hub of all things holiday at Walt Disney World.
Main Street USA and the areas around Cinderella Castle get all decked out for Christmas. Giant Christmas trees await guests entering the park, and pine garlands and wreaths line the streets.

If you need to have snow to make it feel like a real Christmas, the Magic Kingdom has enough pixie dust to even make the white stuff fall over Main Street USA each night!
During the “Once Upon a Christmastime” parade, not only do favorite Disney characters march through the park, but Santa Claus stops by to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
And if that’s not enough Christmas celebration for you, how about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? Each year, the Magic Kingdom offers a special holiday-themed party on select nights in November and December. Yummy treats like cookies and hot chocolate are served, a fabulous fireworks show lights up the night sky and guests can enjoy special live performances, dance parties and more.
Okay, now let’s head over to Epcot to experience their Christmas celebrations.
Christmas Around The World At Epcot
Ever wonder how other countries around the world celebrate the holidays? Epcot features live performances from all over the world that showcase international traditions.
Christmas music lovers can enjoy concerts from jazz, R&B and gospel groups as part of “Joyful! A Gospel Celebration of the Season” held just outside of World Showcase.
One of the most popular (and beautiful) holiday events at Epcot is the Candlelight Processional. Each year, a lineup of celebrity hosts, such as Neil Patrick Harris, joins a full orchestra and choir to share the Christmas story in a moving musical production.
The Christmas fun carries over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, too, which are located outside of the Magic Kingdom.
Finding Holiday Magic At Disney’s Hollywood Studios
When you combine movie magic and Christmas cheer, you get Christmas at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This year brings a few new offerings to the park to celebrate the holidays.
Sunset Seasons Greetings illuminates the park’s Hollywood Boulevard with huge projections, lasers and thousands of twinkling lights.
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! returns for another explosive year with an incredible light show and fireworks display.
Christmas at Walt Disney World is a time everyone should try to experience at least once in their lifetimes. Everything just feels bigger and more beautiful throughout all the parks thanks to their Disney magic!
