You can now get wine slushies at Disney World

Disney Springs, part of the Walt Disney World Resort, is a one-stop-shop for all things entertainment, food and shopping. A trip to Disney Springs gives visitors to Disney World a welcome respite from the long lines and blistering heat of the theme parks (hello, icy-cool air-conditioned shops and restaurants). And now, tired moms and dads can really enjoy their break from the surging throngs still waiting for that Anna and Elsa photo op by kicking back and cooling off with a wine slushie. Yep, you heard that right: Disney Springs now serves wine slushies, and you have Amorette’s Patisserie to thank.

The latest menu item to join the restaurant’s fine roster is the Strawberry Shiraz Wine Slushie. And yes—it’s as amazing as it sounds.

Not only does this frozen dream feature wine (one of our favorite things), it’s also fruity and icy, which is just what anyone could use to beat the Florida heat.

So, parents out there—if you’re planning on taking the kiddos to Disney World, you may need to plan a pit stop here.

Of course, folks online are freaking out about the news of a wine slushie. People are posting to Twitter things like: “You had me at Wine Slushie…” and “Disney World now sells booze??? I need to get to Orlando, ASAP!!!”

I think we can all agree—a wine slushie sounds amazing and may be worth a trip to Disney World just to try one!

The Amorette’s menu is great for kids, too. Whether you’re stopping in for a breakfast pastry, some dessert, a quick sandwich, or a sweet or savory crepe, there’s a little something for everyone at any time of the day!

Not hungry? We won’t judge you for hightailing it straight to Amorette’s for the wine slushie and nothing else.

If you can’t make it to Disney World just to have a wine slushie, but after reading this really have to have one, we’ve got good news: You can also make these for yourself pretty easily at home.

Here’s an example of how it’s done:

Simple as that!

Now, plan a trip to Amorette’s or whip up a batch at home because there’s still plenty of summer left for sippin’ on wine slushies. Enjoy!
