Disneyland Is Now Serving Dole Whip Cotton Candy

Yeah, yeah, Space Mountain and the Mad Tea Party tea cup ride are super cool. But if you’re a food lover inside the gates of the Happiest Place on Earth, aka Disneyland, you’re probably on a treasure hunt for Mickey-shaped beignets at the Mint Julep bar and smoked turkey legs at food carts throughout the park. Who could blame you?

Disney goes far beyond your typical amusement park fare, and the theme park even has its own food and wine festival.

The crown jewel of the foodie’s circuit at Disneyland, though? Dole Whip from the Tiki Juice Bar. The dairy-free pineapple soft serve is, essentially, summer in a cup and the sweet treat has earned itself a lot of fans. (By the way, did you know you can even make your own Dole Whip using just two ingredients? Get the recipe.)

So brace yourselves for what’s coming next—Disneyland is now serving Dole Whip cotton candy. (Legal disclaimer: The product isn’t officially licensed by Dole, so it’s technically “pineapple cotton candy”).

Technicalities aside, dreams do come true.

While not quite as popular as the famous mouse ear photos, fluffy, yellow cotton candy photos are cropping up on Instagram to tempt those of us who live in faraway lands.

Here’s what we know: You can get the fluffy, yellow cotton candy at carts throughout the park, mixed in with the traditional spun sugar on a stick. It’s a limited-time treat, though, according to LA Magazine, and we’re not certain just how long it will be around. The fluffy, pineapple delight is $4.75, plus tax.

The pastel-yellow, springtime pineapple cotton candy makes sense as Disneyland has also spun its creative and sugary wheels to make candy cane cotton candy at Christmas time and candy corn cotton candy (say that 10 times fast) at Halloween.

(And, pro tip courtesy of Visit Anaheim: If you are a Dole Whip aficionado and you’re 21, you can head to The Coffee House inside the Disneyland Hotel and get the Dole Whip treat with a splash of rum).

We hope this news doesn’t steal the spotlight from the limited-edition, gold-dusted churros rolled out to help Disney celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Ah, heck, if there’s any place where there’s room for multiple stars it’s Disneyland, right?
