Attention all evildoers: Disneyland Paris is holding auditions for villains
If you feel lost or stuck in your current profession and are looking to let your inner evil shine through, do we have the job for you.
Disney is currently holding an open audition to cast villains, and you could be one of them. Please don’t bother showing up unless you have perfected the creepy evil laugh. There is a catch, though—the villains will be working at Disneyland Paris, so you should be evil AND bilingual.
The auditions will be held on June 5 at a special open casting call in Dublin, Ireland. Disney officials are looking for villains to play the roles of Cruella de Vil from “101 Dalmatians,” Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty,” Gaston from “Beauty and the Beast,” and Dr. Facilier from “The Princess and the Frog.”
Just 10 lucky winners will be able to score a part-time job in Disneyland Paris that starts in August and ends on November 5, 2017. Since the jobs will be at Disneyland Paris (which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year!) all villains must speak English or French, or both, ideally, and be 18 years or older.
According to the Disney press release, “We are looking for highly energetic women and men to play the following roles and to participate in our meet and greets.”
If you want to be one of these villains, just know that your travel expenses to Ireland won’t be covered, and they’re looking for specifics when it comes to these roles. The characters must have the following height requirements:
- Cruella de Vil: height between 5’7’’and 5’9’’
- Maleficent: height between 5’9’’and 6’1’’
- Gaston: height between 6’0’’ and 6’3’’
- Dr Facilier: height between 5’11 and 6’5’’

Unfortunately, short people need not apply. Maybe a LeFou posting will open up soon so the short and stout among us can live out our villainous fantasies. Until then, we’ll just go to the parks and let the professionals do what they do best: be evil.
