This Video Of A Dog Sledding Will Totally Make Your Day

If dogs could compete at the Winter Olympics, then this adorable Australian shepherd sledder might take home the gold medal! Secret, a 3-year-old dog from Washington, has captured hearts across the internet with her expert sledding skills.

In a cute video posted to Instagram in December by Secret’s owner, Mary, the pup is shown grabbing a small sled with her mouth and dragging it to the top of a hill. Secret then hops on and enjoys a ride down the slope, before she pulls the sled back up the hill to do it all over again.

“We finally got enough snow to really sled yesterday and Secret couldn’t be more thrilled!” Mary wrote in the caption for the hilarious clip. “It’s definitely one of her favorite activities, she probably went down this hill 50 times today!”

This pup clearly knows how to show herself a good time! Watch the very entertaining video below:

Isn’t that adorable?

Secret’s owner reportedly shot the video over the holidays while visiting Sioux City, Iowa, and it went viral shortly after she posted it. Since Dec. 28, it’s been watched more than 250,000 times and has racked up more than 5,000 comments! Not too shabby for a sledding video.

Here’s a sweet pic of Mary and Secret posing in front of a gorgeous backdrop:

But sledding isn’t the only activity this talented canine seems to have mastered. Other videos posted to Mary’s Instagram account show Secret taking clothes out of the dryer, doing aerial yoga and even painting with a paintbrush!

Check out the amazing coordination the pair of pals shows off in the video below. When you see Secret gracefully balancing on Mary’s hands, it seems less surprising that the dog was able to take herself sledding!

You’d think a dog that skilled would require expert-level training, right Well, Secret is reportedly the first dog that Mary has ever owned and she adopted her several years ago, without much experience in training dogs.

She named the dog Secret because she didn’t initially tell any of her friends or extended family that she was getting a puppy. (Aw, how cute.)

Early Instagram posts show a young Secret tearing up tissues and toilet paper rolls. (Side note: If you thought Secret was cute as an adult dog, get a load of her as a tiny, fluffy puppy! You couldn’t even get mad at that sweet face for tearing up your tissues.)

So it seems that Mary must have put in plenty of time to train her dog and, clearly, common commands like “sit” and “stay” were not enough of a challenge for this dynamic duo! Apparently, Secret can actually hold her own umbrella.

And you have to watch this marvelous dog dance to the song “Despacito” in the video below. Just try not to be charmed!

What an exceptional pet!

With such a big personality, Secret needs to go out dancing with the dog that got pumped up going to Target and the ones that were equally excited to visit a bagel shop. We can imagine all of those out-of-the-ordinary pups having a heck of a good time together!

When you see dogs being so darn cute, it’s easy to see why so many humans love dogs more than other people. That’s not just an anecdote, either—a 2017 study actually found that people are more empathetic toward dogs that are suffering than they are toward their fellow humans. Man’s best friend, indeed.
