Dream job alert: This company will pay you to watch TV

Finally — you’ve got the perfect excuse to sit around in your leggings and do nothing but watch TV all day because there’s a company out there that wants to pay you to watch your favorite shows. And no — this is not a joke.

HowToWatch.com is looking to hire an expert TV-watcher to log 100 hours of viewing time and pay them $2,000 to do so.

The Job

As you watch, you’ll be asked to rate a variety of live TV streaming services (think DirecTV Now and YouTube TV) — which you’ll be given free access to during employment — ranking them for overall viewing experience. The lucky hire will have to pay attention to things such as buffering times and loading speeds, as well as picture and audio quality.

The person who is hired will have until Nov. 1 to get in all 100 hours of TV viewing, and will be asked to document their journey on social media. Those who are considered social-media influencers and are active on Twitter or Reddit are encouraged to apply.

So, if you’ve got a decent following on social media, aren’t afraid to share your opinions about the dozens of TV shows and streaming services you’ll be watching and are stoked to finally have the chance to get paid to do what you truly love — which is sit in front of the TV screen, obviously — then this is the job for you!

How To Apply

HowToWatch is making it easy to apply, too. Just fill out a form via the company’s website, providing general information along with links to your social media accounts, and an answer to a writing prompt on why you’d be awesome at this job. It’s an added bonus if you make a YouTube video explaining why you’re the perfect candidate, too.

All in all, this job is almost too good to be true. So, if you’re finally ready to put all of those hours you’ve spent in front of the TV to use (and make some extra cash in the process) be sure to apply soon.

Applications are due by midnight on Oct. 4 and the lucky job recipient will be announced by Oct. 11, a spokesperson told The Penny Hoarder.

Another Dream Job

Thankfully, this isn’t the only incredible job opportunity available at the moment. If getting paid to travel is something you’d love to do, too — you’ll want to check out the amazing chance to work for the Vidanta resort company.

The company wants to pay a $120,000 salary to someone who is willing to relocate to Mexico and serve as a brand ambassador. Essentially, you’d be getting paid to stay at the company’s various resorts.

You in? Apply by Oct. 21 to be considered.

So — who’s ready to bag their dream job?
