Drew Barrymore posted a photo of her gray roots and overgrown eyebrows—and women everywhere can relate

It’s always nice to see celebrities in vulnerable, down-to-Earth moments because it reminds us that they’re just people, after all. And if there’s one A-lister who keeps it real, it’s definitely Drew Barrymore. She posted a photo of herself with gray hair and overgrown eyebrows, and based on the response it’s getting online—it’s uniting women everywhere.

Because when it comes to keeping up with grooming—haircuts, root touch-ups, shaving, waxing, facials—the struggle is real. Tweezing is an absolute (literal) pain and going to get your brows done professionally? Ha! Who has time for that?

At least, that’s how I imagine most women feel, and for the time being, Barrymore has totally proven me correct. Even celebrities don’t have time to deal with the hassles of touching up grays and ritual tweezing.

Glad it’s not just me!

Barrymore’s candid post has racked up for than 100,000 likes in just a few days, and Instagrammers are leaving comments to show their support. One ‘grammer wrote,” Ummm… I have never loved you more and that is saying A LOT.” Another chimed in, “Real motherhood! I know It!”

The photo wound up being part one of two. The first one, to demonstrate how she looked before getting prepped to play Sheila Hammond on the Netflix show “Santa Clarita Diet,” and the second to show the process.

She posted a photo of her and her daughter, Olive, getting their hair done. Barrymore was getting her grays touched up and Olive was getting a conditioning treatment. So, the overgrown brows and grown-out roots created a fun opportunity for a mother-daughter spa day.

Since women tend to do it so rarely, it’s nice to really go all out when we do finally decide to pamper ourselves. So, if you’re overdue for an appointment at the salon—go on and book one now! You deserve it!

This isn’t the first time Barrymore’s been totally body positive, either. She also posts tips for how to cure acne or irritated skin, and she’s also been open about dealing with body issues.

In an interview with InStyle she said, “I am who I am and I just don’t have a bikini body. I don’t even have a one-piece body anymore! But I am loving the long rash guard, board-shorts look.”

She’s focused on parenting her two daughters instead, which she admits isn’t going to be easy and perfect all of the time, either.

“I’m not going to pretend to my daughters that I’m pure as the driven snow… The best I can do is open up my heart to them. That’s soul-baring enough,” she told InStyle. “Making bad decisions doesn’t make you a bad person. It is how you learn to make better choices.”

We’re right there with you, Drew!
