Two dogs to one human can equal a disaster—especially when it’s time to go for a walk.
Two leashes ups the chance for tangles and tripping, but the Dual Doggie Retractable Leash by Wigzi is here to put an end to all of that.
This dual leash uses 360 degree spin technology to easily rotate and allow for your dogs to criss-cross and follow as many scents as they like—without you having to try and keep up with their leashes.
Watch how it works here:
Not only will this keep your dogs from getting tangled, it will also free up one of your hands. Both leashes can be controlled from one main hub, meaning only one hand has to do the work. You can control the length of each leash from the handle, and each leash is color-coded so you don’t get confused. This means you’ll have one free arm for picking up after your dogs, texting or whatever else it is you need to do.
Each leash stretches to a total of 10 feet and can hold a 50 pound dog.
The product is available on Amazon for $39.99, and according to the reviews, it’s definitely worth the investment.
“I have 2 rambunctious fur babies both about 40 lbs. We walk at least an hour everyday. So far this double retractable dog leash had been amazing! It is so nice being able to have one handed control. I always put Lucy on the right and Suzy on the left. It makes it easy to remember which button to push,” one satisfied customer wrote.
Another reviewer pointed out that the leash works well for small dogs as well.
“Just what I wanted. My two small dogs are only 4 lbs and 6 lbs. I was afraid that the cords would pull back too much and it might be too hard for my tiny dogs. That is not the case. The cords are very flexible in their extension. The handle is kind of big, but once I started using it, it is very comfortable and light.”
This isn’t the only dual leash product that uses a swivel feature to keep dogs from getting tangled, but it does seem more sturdy than some other products on the market, such as this one which retails for only $11.99.
This clasp swivels, but it seems as though Wigzi’s version creates more space between the two leashes, which means they’d be harder to tangle. Plus, the retractable feature is definitely a bonus.
But no matter which version you wind up with, a dual leash could be just the kind of thing you need to make your life easier. Walks in the park are supposed to be enjoyable, after all!
