Dunkin Donuts’ limited-Edition beer is on shelves now
Move over, pumpkin spice rum. There’s a new fall drink in town, and this one you can drink with a doughnut.
Dunkin’ Donuts and Boston-based Harpoon Brewery have come together to unite coffee and beer lovers with a new brew that mixes craft beer with Dunkin’s espresso-blend coffee. Called Harpoon Dunkin’ Coffee Porter, the balanced and smooth brew has robust and roast-y notes (according to Harpoon, which gives those tasting notes on their Instagram post below). The drink will be available throughout the fall in both 12-ounce bottles and on draft at select retail locations across the eastern U.S.

In a news release, Dunkin’ says the beer is “malty tasting” and “has a smooth mouthfeel with aromas of espresso and dark chocolate.” They say it pairs well with fall favorites like hearty stews and seasonal desserts and, of course, doughnuts. And it is hard to imagine not pairing the two.
Meanwhile, some craft beer fans have already tried the Dunkin’ Coffee Porter. Instagrammer Bad-N-Brewzy seems to be a fan, noting: “Not a big porter guy but have to say not a bad collaboration between @harpoonbrewery and dunkins.”

While the Harpoon Dunkin’ Coffee Porter is a totally new (and exciting) pairing, this isn’t the first time Dunkin’ has released a beer. They got on board with the pumpkin trend last September and released a cold-brew Dunkin Punkin Brown Ale that marked the first-ever beer to include original Dunkin’ Donuts flavorings. Then, in December, they launched yet another beer, this one called DDark Roasted Brew, a stout-style beer that featured full-roasted coffee flavor.
Pumpkin Spice Everything For Breakfast
Of course, if you prefer to skip the seasonally-inspired booze and are more of a pastry-with-your-coffee person, then you might want to whip up a few pumpkin spice breakfast goodies instead.
