Easy garlic parmesan shrimp will be a new family favorite

How many times have you been pressed for time when it comes to making dinner? If you’re like many of us, that often means picking up the phone to order some pizza or rushing out to hit a drive-thru.

While eating out can be fun and tasty, it isn’t always the best option when it comes to healthy choices and can be a real burden on the monthly budget. What if you could make a yummy meal for the whole family in about 30 minutes that everyone would swear you got at a restaurant?

We are talking about a garlic-parmesan shrimp recipe that is crunchy and flavorful yet light.

This parmesan-garlic shrimp recipe from AllRecipes has just seven ingredients. Other than the shrimp, all of them are staples that most people already have tucked away in their kitchen cabinets.

For this dish, you will need non-stick cooking spray (vegetable, canola, olive are all good options), bread crumbs, shredded Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, garlic powder and a pound of large shrimp. You will want to make sure the shrimp is peeled and deveined before using it in the recipe.

Once you have the shrimp prepared, you can start preheating your oven. Another benefit to this recipe, besides the short amount of time it takes to prepare, is how it uses the oven to achieve that light crunch so many love. Fried shrimp tastes great, but it can be so greasy and calorie-dense. With this recipe, you don’t sacrifice taste for the healthier option.

As your oven gets to temperature, you will combine all the ingredients by following the easy, step-by-step directions and within 10 minutes, the shrimp will be ready to put into the oven, where they’ll bake and then briefly broil to achieve that yummy crunch.

After only 20 minutes of cooking the shrimp and preparing whatever side you’d like to go with it (the recipe recommends pasta or salad), dinner can be served.

A 30-minute meal that is delicious and takes just as much time (or maybe less!) than ordering take out? That’s a win-win in our book.
