How to make easy inside-out caramel apples

Little Things

No matter what time of year it is, everyone loves apple desserts.

Of course, apple pie is the all-time champion but on those days when you feel like indulging in more of a sweet treat than a baked good, you should try making some caramel apples. We found a recipe for the classic combo that isn’t hard to make yourself, and this crunchy dessert might send you back to those carefree days as a kid at the county fair.

What makes these caramel apples special is that they’re inside out, meaning the caramel and chocolate filling is on the inside of the apple rather than the outside. Not only does this make these apples easier to prepare, but it also makes them easier to handle, eat and share when it comes time to chow down.

To make these inside-out caramel apples, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tbsps. butter
  • 4 apples
  • 1/3 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable Oil

You simply heat up the filling, cut the apples in half, pour the filling into the halves, and chill until hard. Then you drizzle with chocolate to finish off. Who knew making this dessert classic could be so easy? You can find the whole recipe online from Little Things.
