Ellen DeGeneres had a surprise ‘Friends’ reunion

Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow are always there for each other — both on- and off-screen! Want proof?

Cox is in the midst of promoting a new show  — “9 Months With Courteney Cox” — for which she’s the host. Because Cox is trying to gain followers on social media in order to promote the show, Ellen DeGeneres offered to help her out. After all, DeGeneres has 65 million followers on Instagram. Who better to help boost her online cred?

So DeGeneres had a Central Perk coffee shop set brought into the studio of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” so that she and Cox could get a photo of the two of them sitting on the iconic couch for her first Instagram photo.

The kicker? As they posed on the couch together, the talk show host said, “I wish Lisa Kudrow was here because that would be fun.” All of a sudden — guess who came onstage? That’s right — Cox’s “Friends” co-star was there, and it was a complete surprise to both Cox and the audience.

“You came here — thank you,” an excited Cox said to Kudrow.

And Kudrow had the best response:

“I wanted to be there for you. Get it?!”

With stunts like this one up her sleeve, it’s no wonder DeGeneres has millions of followers!

Clearly, fans loved this mini-reunion DeGeneres pulled together because Cox now has over 370,000 followers on Instagram. Here’s the photo that resulted from the “Friends” get-together:

This isn’t the first time Kudrow and Cox have proven to be friends in real life. Just recently, the pair were spotted while out to lunch together. And in the past, Cox has said that she, Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston all have a text thread — though she finds the whole idea of a group text a bit overwhelming.

“Lisa, Jennifer and I all have a text chain, but to me it’s too much pressure,” she told Us Weekly in March of 2018.

But clearly, an in-person meet-up isn’t off limits. Cox has even hosted birthday parties and more for her pals, and Aniston said she’s been reliable “through thick and thin.”

“I’ve slept in her guest bedroom a lot,” Aniston reportedly told More magazine back in 2014. “Without giving away too much of my private stuff, all I can say is she’s been there for me through thick and thin.”
