She may not have been able to make it in person, but actress Emma Stone made sure Jacob Staudenmaier’s prom did not go on without her.

After Staudenmaier’s amazing “La La Land”-inspired promposal went viral,  Stone sent a corsage and boutonniere for the teen and the date he took to the prom, Caitlin Teefy.

The floral arrangement came with a handwritten note, reading, “Jacob, A little something for you and your lucky date tomorrow. Have a great time! Much love, Emma Stone.”

A Little Promposal Movie Magic

Staudenmaier’s epic promposal is by far the one with the most production value we’ve seen. Not only did he recreate the opening scene of the film “La La Land,”  but he also rewrote the words to the song “Another Day of Sun,” in an attempt to convince Stone to be his prom date.

“I saw ‘La La Land’ and loved it a lot,” Staudenmaier told ABC News after the video went viral. “It was one of my favorite films, and I’ve always liked Emma Stone as an actor and I guess that spawned the idea of maybe asking her to the prom.”

Part of the promposal included a pre-prom trip to Olive Garden. Staudenmaier did not disappoint the internet when it came to fulfilling that part of the date.

Before hearing from Stone, Staudenmaier just hoped the video would somehow reach her.

“Whether she says yes or no, I think just a response in general would be amazing,” he said. “I guess if she did say yes, that would be the best outcome possible. Either way I’ve enjoyed everything that’s happened so far.”

Stone responded before sending the flowers saying,

Jacob, thanks for making the greatest proposal I have ever received. I can’t tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled through that entire beautifully orchestrated video. I’m in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom, and I’m grateful you thought of me. Thank you. P.S. I do see Gosling around the eyes. Love, Emma.

It’s safe to say her response was just as epic as the promposal itself. You can watch the video below:
