Etsy Is Selling Harry Potter Cookie Cutters And We Need Them

Expecto patronom nom nom.

Have you ever thought to yourself, “Wow, I wish I could combine the two greatest things in the world into one delicious comestible?” Well, now you can. Because everyone’s favorite online store, Etsy, is selling Harry Potter cookie cutters and all is right with the world.

Even though it’s not technically holiday cookie season anymore (although in my honest opinion, it’s always holiday cookie season), there’s never a bad time to put these cookie cutters to use. If you type “Harry Potter cookie cutters” into the Etsy search bar, you’ll find everything from glasses-and-scar cutouts to Hufflepuff crests to even the sign of the Deathly Hallows (or Grindelwald’s Mark, depending on whether or not you’re Viktor Krum).

Want to throw a Harry Potter-themed cookie party? (You do. We know you do.) Then stock up on golden snitches, owls (RIP Hedwig, forever in our hearts) or even a sinister Dark Mark that’s begging to be made out of deep, rich chocolate shortbread dough. You could even do a DIY Pumpkin Pasty if you missed the Hogwarts Express this year.

These cookie cutters would make a perfect gift for any Potterhead, though we won’t judge you if you go and buy them all for yourself. The cookie cutters aren’t cheap—many of them range from $7 to $9 a pop—but you’re supporting small businesses and artists, so it’s worth it. Remember to always chill your dough before you roll it out, and don’t forget to leave space on your baking sheet—otherwise instead of Hogwarts Crests you’ll have Hogwarts mush.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to Gringotts to empty our vaults and then onto Etsy to spend every last Galleon on these perfect cookie cutters. While it’s not the same as stopping at Honeydukes, Harry Potter cookie cutters are still pretty… dare we say it… magical.
