Eve welcomes her first child with husband Maximillion Cooper
Rapper and actress Eve just announced the arrival of her first child, a baby boy she shares with husband Maximillion Cooper.
Her son, named Wilde Wolf Fife Alexander Somers Cooper, arrived Feb. 1, according to an announcement on Eve’s Instagram page.
“Words can’t describe this feeling,” Eve wrote on Feb. 10, followed by three sparkle emojis.
The accompanying photo shows little Wilde sleeping peacefully in a floral-printed Moses basket, his tiny hands drawn up near his face in a classic newborn pose.
Appropriately, Eve’s Insta bio describes her as “MOMMY.”
Ebony Magazine shared the news Feb. 10 with a congratulatory tweet:

Though Wilde is Eve’s first baby, she’s been preparing for this new gig since marrying Cooper, a British entrepreneur, in 2014. Cooper has four children from a previous marriage, making Eve a stepmom for the last eight years.
She admits, however, that it took some time to embrace that role. In a 2020 interview with People, Eve mentioned that comfort developed over the course of years.
”It did take two or three years to adjust, just our relationship with the kids,” she said. “But I have to say I’m very lucky. I feel very, very lucky that I had my insta-kids — I call them my bonus children!”
Cooper’s kids range in age from 13 to 19 — and now they have an adorable little stepbrother to dote on.
Less than a year ago, Eve mourned the death of her friend and collaborator DMX. In an Instagram post, she wrote, “I know you are in the place of peace you deserve. I will be forever grateful to have known you.”
It was a shocking loss — DMX was only 50 years old — but there’s new joy in 2022. Welcome to the world, Wilde Wolf!
