The Ferrari Land Theme Park Is A Guaranteed Adrenaline Rush
There’s a new theme park devoted to one of the fastest cars ever made. Ferrari Land opened for business in Spain last April and it promises a luxe Ferrari-fueled adrenaline rush at a fraction of the price of one of its iconic cars. Though located an hour southwest of Barcelona on the Mediterranean, the posh park transports visitors right to Italy, according to Condé Nast Traveler. In fact, it resembles an Italian village with Formula One lining the park’s streets.
Ferrari Land features record-breaking rides painted a distinctive Ferrari red. The Red Force is the tallest and fastest vertical accelerator in Europe and launches riders 367 feet high in five seconds at 112 mph. (Surprisingly, it pales in comparison to the fastest regular production Ferrari — the 812 Superfast, which tops out at 211 mph!)

Additional rides at Ferrari Land include the Free Fall Tower, a 55-meter-high free fall, and Bounce-Back Tower, which flings you up and down. The two “thrill towers” are designed to look like giant pistons and mimic their movements.
Though youngsters may not be able take part in some rides due to height requirements, they can feel like they’re racing behind the wheel of a Ferrari F1. The park offers six adult driving simulators and two made just for kids:

The park’s virtual reality experiences are all high-octane. A ride called Racing Legends is the heart of the park and simulates F1 racing. Another ride called Flying Dreams includes a grand world tour from the comfort of a Ferrari GT. The journey continues with an interactive history of the Italian automaker and its racing team. Then guests can get a sneak peek into Ferrari’s Maranello factory with a reproduction of the assembly line.

Ferrari Land is actually the second theme park from the iconic car maker. The first, Ferrari World, opened in Abu Dhabi in 2010. One of its main attractions, the Formula Rossa, reaches top speeds of 149 mph and is the world’s fastest roller coaster.
Like its shiny red cars, the newest Ferrari theme park is definitely firing on all cylinders!
