Finally Know What Your Cat Is Thinking With Catterbox, The Talking Cat Collar

Catterbox

Ever wonder what your cat is thinking when he or she meows a certain way? Well now, with Catterbox, dubbed “the world’s first talking cat collar,” you can find out. Various ads for Temptations cat treats have been showing Catterbox in action.

The Temptations Lab was set up in 2015 to analyze cat sounds. Then, a cat’s meow is matched to a human voice, according to their website. The cat then wears a 3D collar which is connected to the Temptations app, and that’s where you can find your cat’s new “voice,” so to speak.

Remember the dog, Doug, from the movie, “UP?” Think of it as a collar like Doug wore to make him talk.

Is your cat American but you want his or her new voice to be British? With Catterbox, no problem!

But, it’s not out just yet. The Temptations Lab is working on the prototype with London-based creative agency adam&eveDDB. The prototype launched in the U.S. and New Zealand on April 28.

Cats are often perceived as quite hard to get to know, independent pets, so we set up the Temptations Lab to find innovative ways to inject even more fun into a cat and owner’s relationship,” said Richard Brim, Executive Creative Director at adam&eveDDB in a statement.

Catterbox sounds like the cat’s meow (pun intended) for all our feline (and non-feline) friends out there. We’re in. You?

In any case, you can check out more about Catterbox here.
