Photos of newborn Prince Louis’ first days at Kensington Palace have been released

Prince Louis, the third child of Kate Middleton and Prince William, was born on April 23, and just hours after this birth, the proud mom and dad posed for photos outside of the hospital with their latest bundle of joy.

Fans were delighted to get a glimpse of the newest royal baby, and also couldn’t help but notice how fabulous Middleton looked — within just a few hours of childbirth. She had a fresh face of makeup and her signature shiny hair, and we have to agree that she looked absolutely beautiful.

Now, Kensington Palace has released new photos of Prince Louis, which were taken by Middleton at home at the palace.

And the image of Princess Charlotte posing with her baby brother was taken just days later, on May 2, which also happened to be the princess’ third birthday.

This royal family certainly has had a lot to celebrate in the past few weeks. The birth of Prince Louis came just days before Prince William and Middleton’s seventh wedding anniversary.

Then, Princess Charlotte celebrated her birthday. And coming up next for the royal family is the May 19 wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle.

Here’s a bit more about Harry and Meghan’s engagement.

It was recently announced Prince William will serve as the best man to Prince Harry on his wedding day. Prince Harry did the same honor for his older brother at his wedding in 2011.

Markle, however, will not have a maid or matron of honor. Traditionally, royal brides, don’t have a wedding party. But Middleton did have her sister, Pippa, as her maid of honor at her wedding to Prince William.

Markle decided that she will not have a maid or matron of honor for her big day because she didn’t want to select just one of her close friends to stand by her side.

“She has a very close-knit circle of friends and she didn’t want to choose one over another,” a palace spokesperson said. “All have been actively involved in helping her prepare for the day and will be there in the days beforehand. She’s very happy to have their support.”

Bridesmaids or not, we know the royal wedding will be stunning and memorable. Don’t forget to tune into the historic event on May 19.
