A fixed-up house from ‘Fixer Upper’ is on the market
If you don’t watch the extremely addictive HGTV show “Fixer Upper,” now is the time to start. It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like—two absurdly attractive people go around fixing up unsightly homes and turning them into beautiful remodels.
Currently, one of those fixed-up fixer-uppers is on the market…and the pictures are totally drool-worthy.

The home in question is in Woodway, Texas (which is in the Waco area, halfway between Dallas and Austin), and was the dream for Matt and Melissa Yeilding, who wanted an open-plan concept so they could entertain despite the small living space. They purchased the three-bedroom ranch house for just $135,000 and left show runners Chip and Joanna Gaines with the remaining $60,000 in their budget. The results were stunning.
“What we’ll miss the most is how well we can host friends and family in this house, because the open concept living area and large kitchen have made it a joy to entertain people in our home,” Matt and Melissa told House Beautiful in an interview.
Originally called “The Plain Gray Ranch” (how appealing!), the house is now full of light and features a gorgeous, open-plan living room and kitchen I would do terrible, terrible things to have. Plus, the master suite is massive, gorgeous and has a double vanity in the bathroom. Translation: no more fighting for sink space.
It also has a pretty little deck, which will be perfect for summer grilling, and a nice backyard for kids to run around in.
Despite its gorgeous makeover, the Yeildings have decided it’s time to sell their home, and it could be yours for just $310,000! Definitely a steal to live in a real “Fixer-Upper” house.
But be warned, Matt and Melissa say: “[W]aving at all the “Fixer Upper” fans has become part of living our day-to-day life.”
