6 Foods You Should Eat For A Youthful Glow

When it comes to looking young, nothing reveals your age more than your skin. People associate wrinkles with old age and warm-glowing skin with youth.

Luckily, you don’t have to do any drastic medical procedures or indulge in expensive skincare products to get younger looking skin. Instead, you can change up your diet to incorporate certain foods that encourage healthy and vibrant-looking skin.

Your skin needs certain nutrients to stay moisturized and smooth, and if your diet contains these nutrients, you’re more likely to avoid acne and wrinkles and instead have skin that is vibrated and hydrated.

If your diet is high in unhealthy foods filled with excess salt, sugar, and fat, it’ll show on your face. If you’re looking to have optimal skin, eat these six foods for a youthful glow.

1. Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are filled with a variety of nutrients that keep your skin looking smooth and fresh, including antioxidants vitamin A and vitamin C as well as beta-carotene.

Studies show that consuming vitamin C daily can reduce the appearance of wrinkles by 11 percent, while other research shows that vitamin A can help protect against UV damage.

2. Fish

Fatty fish such as tuna, salmon and sardines contain omega-3 fatty acids, which are responsible for the health of your cell’s membranes. This can influence your skin’s ability to hold onto water – and a healthy, hydrated barrier of skin leads to more moisture, less wrinkles and a glowing appearance.

3. Avocados

This magical fruit contains not only vitamin E, but healthy unsaturated fats as well. Monounsaturated fats keep the top layer of your skin moist and glowing, while the polyunsaturated fats protect your skin against sun damage and inflammation.

Carrots contain beta-carotene, the nutrient responsible for giving you that warm, healthy glow – from the inside that is. In addition to aiding in naturally radiant skin, the beta-carotene in carrots can also help protect against UV damage to give you golden skin the natural way.
