Garth Brooks performed on Kelly Clarkson’s show and she was moved to tears
Do you enjoy good music? Do you love feel-good television? Do you get weepy when you see talented performers get weepy upon meeting the performers who inspired them?
Excellent! We have just the clip for you. In this segment from “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Clarkson gets a chance to sit down with one of her musical idols, Garth Brooks.
As she reveals in the video below, she grew up listening to Brooks, and one of her favorite songs was a cover he did of Bob Dylan’s “To Make You Feel My Love.” Back in the day, she adored his rendition of the song. And apparently, she still does, as she broke into tears of joy when he sang a few bars of the classic.

As Clarkson wipes away tears at the end of his performance, she explains that if she knew as a child that this moment with country music superstar Garth Brooks would happen in the future, she would have never been able to process it, saying that she just “can’t believe” her life sometimes.
Clarkson is no stranger to famous faces, having performed with everyone from Reba McEntire to Martina McBride to Jason Aldean to Trisha Yearwood (who wed Brooks in 2005). And, of course, she interviews celebrities like Kristen Bell, Jason Momoa, Dwayne Johnson and Gwen Stefani on a weekly basis. But it took one of her favorite childhood songs to bring her to tears on stage.
And she’s not alone. Many of her social media followers echoed Clarkson’s sentiments, with Twitter user @LifeAs_Louise writing, “We ALL have the opportunity to feel that way in certain moments and I love that she just says it.”
I freaking love @kellyclarkson. “I just can’t believe my life sometimes.” We ALL have the opportunity to feel that way in certain moments & I love that she just says it. So true. She is the realest & I love her 🥰😍 @KellyClarksonTV

No wonder Brooks has been nominated for 13 Grammy awards and won “Entertainer of the Year” six times from the Country Music Association (giving him the record for most wins).
