Get Rid Of Puffy Eyes With This Simple 2-Ingredient Recipe

Waking up with tired, puffy eyes is no fun, but can happen more often than we’d like. Many eye serums and creams that claim to help reduce puffiness are expensive. I don’t know about you, but I’d hate to spend money on one when I know there are simple, at-home remedies that can help my eyes look and feel more fresh.

In fact, there’s a way that you can whip up an under-eye concoction with just two ingredients— and they’re likely ones that you already have in your kitchen.

Crissy Page of the Dear Crissy blog points out that by mixing the juices of a cherry tomato and a lemon, you’ve got one powerful under-eye potion that can help reduce darkness and any swelling.

Make sure your produce is refrigerated before making this or refrigerate the juices 10 to 15 minutes before applying to your face. Crissy explains that not only does the coolness feel good once applied on your skin, it also aids with reducing the puffy appearance.

Once the juice is chilled and ready to go, simply use a cotton ball to soak up some of the liquid and blot gently around the eyes. Be careful to not get this in your eyes and not to pull and drag at the skin too much. Skin around the eyes is so sensitive, and you wouldn’t want to create wrinkles under there!

You can repeat this process 2-3 times, she explains because the liquid is very lightweight. Then, rinse off carefully and get on with the rest of your skincare/makeup routine, looking well-rested and good as new.

Didn’t know a fresh face could be accomplished with a tomato and a lemon, did you? I certainly didn’t know previously, but now that I do— these foods are my new beauty staples. Who would have thought?

Head on over to the Dear Crissy blog for more details about how this incredible mixture works!
