Glow-in-the-dark blankets may be the coolest way to help kids not be afraid of the dark

Indiegogo

We’ve likely all gone through a point in our lives where we were more than a little afraid of what may or may not be lurking underneath our beds. If your child is going through the same thing, struggling to fall asleep because they fear the dark, glow-in-the-dark blankets could be just the thing to help them sleep through the night.

While glow-in-the-dark blankets are nothing new, the Force Field Cloak is the most recent addition to the market, and it looks pretty cool. Not long ago, the product was fully backed on Indiegogo, and its makers now promise to ship out blankets by December or early 2018.

What’s the deal? These blankets are your average, colorful throws by day, but after being under a light source for just 10–15 minutes, they transform to reveal a bright, glowing pattern at night. Your kids can wrap themselves up and be completely surrounded by the pink, green, blue or orange glow. And the blankets glow for up to 10 hours, so even if your child wakes up in the middle of the night, they’ll still be comforted by the light. In fact, the people behind the Force Field Cloak guarantee that no monsters or aliens will get past your force field—or your money back.

Not only are these great for helping your little one sleep soundly at night, but we think a blanket like this would surely take their pillow and blanket fort-building to the next level.

The best part of all is that you can still order these through Indiegogo. Prices vary depending on how many blankets you order and when you’d like them to ship by. They range from $36 for one blanket to $190 for all five.

Of course, if you’re in the market for glow-in-the-dark bedding, Force Field Cloaks aren’t your only option. If you look online, you can find everything from luminous throw blankets to matching bedding and curtains that glow. The silver throw below retails for $33.40 on Amazon and is not only supposed to glow in the dark, but it also seems super soft:

There’s also this bed set that has a fun glowing pattern. It retails for $48.03, and you can even purchase matching curtains (which also glow!) to accompany the bedspread. How fun!

Scary monsters may soon be a thing of the past thanks to these glowing products. So who’s ready to have their kids sleep through the night?
