Greek resort has overwater bungalows that are cheaper than you’d expect

Bungalows perched over the water in a tropical location are the height of luxury. The villas at this resort are actually situated over a pool, not the ocean, but the look is pretty close to the real thing. Plus, your photos could easily be deceiving!

Overwater bungalows are an architectural style that you’d typically see in the Maldives, but at a much higher price per night. At Stella Island Resort, you can book a villa with a private deck with a hammock over the water for just $233 per night.

The adults-only hotel opened in 2017 and has 225 rooms. Located on the picturesque Greek island of Crete, the resort features a spa, an indoor heated swimming pool, several on-site restaurants and a fitness center.
