This groom had the best reaction ever to his bride walking down the aisle

One of the biggest, most special moments of any wedding is watching the bride walk down the aisle. But for groom Quintin Reed, seeing his bride Ashleigh walk toward him was extra special, and a bit overwhelming—in the best way.

“My uncle, who was the officiant, told me to look down at my watch until the moment was right. My heart was pounding so incredibly fast,” the groom told the Huffington Post. “Then the moment came. She walks around the corner and when she was about 50 feet from me, my uncle told me to look up at my bride. And when I did, my heart became overwhelmed with joy and my entire body just became numb as I witnessed the most beautiful woman ever in front of me.”

As his soon-to-be-wife approached, Reed couldn’t contain his tears. First, he looked up and brought his hands to his face. Then, he was so overcome with emotion, he could no longer stand. His bride literally made him go weak in the knees. And it doesn’t get much sweeter than that.

Of course, this also made the bride become emotional, and she started to cry as well. She certainly wasn’t expecting a reaction like this from her beau.

“I thought he would be a little emotional but I never would have imagined he would have fallen to his knees like he did,” the bride told People magazine. “As soon as I saw him sigh and look up to the sky, I lost my breath. It was the most romantic moment I had ever and probably will ever experience.”

The couple first met three years ago in college at Lindenwood University. They wed on Oct. 7 in a gorgeous, love-filled ceremony at the Cottleville Wine Cellar in Cottleville, Missouri. They said their special day couldn’t have been more perfect.

“The foundation of our relationship has been trust, communication, respect, love, kindness, laughter, hugs and high-fives,” the groom told the Huffington Post. “Our wedding day was perfect!”
