This couple has an incredible love story that goes way back—all the way to preschool!

Laura Scheel and Matt Grodsky met in their preschool classroom and became best of friends. And now that they’re husband and wife, they have a friendship that will last them a lifetime.

The two were wed back in December 2016, but a recent post on The Way We Met Instagram account has allowed them to share their story with the world.

“One of my very first memories is of being 3 years old and standing up in front of my pre-school class, declaring that I would marry her someday,” Grodsky wrote.

“We have fond memories of playing hide-and-go-seek, chasing after each other on the playground, and mischievously staying up during nap time. I was enamored with Laura as a child, and I still am to this day.”

Cue the “awws” and grab a tissue. Because, seriously, is this the sweetest love story you’ve ever heard or what?

The comments on the Instagram post shows that the world agrees. They’re the cutest couple ever.

“This is the most beautiful love story ever!!!! Congratulations!!!!,” one Instagram user wrote.

“This truly warmed my heart. so happy I ran into this,” wrote another.

The post goes on to explain how the two lost touch throughout elementary and middle school, but wound up getting reacquainted in high school.

Shortly thereafter, they became boyfriend and girlfriend and dated all throughout college. Finally, he popped the question.

Crush Goes Back To Beginning To Pop Question

And can you guess where he asked her to marry him?

“I proposed to her at the place it all began… our preschool classroom,” he wrote.

“The whole car ride to the preschool she kept asking me why I seemed anxious. I kept checking my pocket when she wasn’t looking to make sure the ring was still there,” he told Huffington Post.

“I dropped down on one knee while my brother came in with the phone, snapping photos,” he said. “Laura was shocked. I gave her my pitch on why I wanted her to marry me and she said yes—whew!”

We couldn’t be happier that she did! Congratulations to this amazing couple!
