Hallmark is airing 2 new holiday movies over the summer

Hallmark Channel

Summer has just begun — but if you’re a Hallmark holiday movie fan, you may want to pretend it’s winter and hibernate in front of your TV this July, because that’s when two new Christmas movies debut.

“Christmas Camp” will first air on July 7 at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. This TV film stars Lily Anne Harrison, Bobby Campo (“Final Destination”) and Ben Gavin.

“To get a promotion, Hayley, an advertising executive who specializes in social media, must land a toy company that is all about traditional Christmas as an account,” the Hallmark Channel’s description of the film reads.

Then, “A Merry Christmas Match” debuts on the Hallmark Channel on July 13 at 9 p.m. ET.

According to Entertainment Weekly, which broke the news of both new summer debuts, “A Merry Christmas Match,” will focus on Corey, an antique shop owner in a small ski town who also runs a kids’ Christmas pageant in memory of her late dad. When a stranger comes to town, Corey starts questioning why she didn’t pursue her theatrical directing dreams.

The two films will be a part of the 40 holiday movies that the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will debut in 2019. Between the two channels, Hallmark has made 176 holiday films in the last 10 years.

With this year’s batch, Hallmark will be over the 200th merry movie mark. That makes Hallmark as hardworking as Santa’s elves!

Other 2019 Hallmark holiday movies that have been announced so far include Lacey Chabert in “Christmas in Rome,” Kristin Chenoweth and Scott Wolf in “The Christmas Song,” Melissa Claire Egan, Marc Blucas and Patti Murin in “Holiday for Heroes,” and a yet-to-be-named Christmas film that Blake Shelton is executive producing. The veteran coach from “The Voice” will also provide music for the film.

How’s that for some early Christmas cheer? If you love love, tune in!
