Hanson’s Releasing A New Christmas Album, Let Your ’90s Self Freak Out

If you don’t automatically start singing “Mmmbop, ba duba dop” at even the slightest mention of Hanson, you clearly weren’t nearly as obsessed as I was with this band back in the day. I mean, they were the ‘90s boy band for all of 15 or so, after all.

Well, if you liked their hit album simply titled, “Middle Of Nowhere,” then you loved their “Snowed In” Christmas album, too. You may have also kept this on repeat long after the holidays had ended. Just sayin’.

And if just thinking of Hanson again for the first time in awhile has you squealing with joy, then you’re going to be ecstatic to know that they are coming out with another Christmas album.

I hope you were sitting down for that!

According to their newsletter, the band already has a song list for the album, which will be called “Wintery Mix.”

“We have already whittled the potential track list down to 20 songs (when you include original songs) and we still have a lot of hard decisions to make, but it will all be worth it when this Wintery Mix is finished,” they wrote.

Unfortunately, it’s not set to release until 2017, but hey, what’s one more year, you know? Hanson Christmas music is definitely worth waiting for! Especially if it’s anything like it was in 1997.

This isn’t the first album they’ve released since the ’90s, but some people may have not been keeping up with Hanson. I am, admittedly, guilty as charged. But, a Christmas album is definitely reason to hop on the Hanson train again!

So, get ready for the 2017 release and in the meantime, sing it with me!

“Mmmbop, ba duba dop
Ba du bop, ba duba dop
Ba du bop, ba duba dop
Ba du, yeah!”
