‘Harry Potter’ fans can now spend Halloween at Hogwarts

It’s not enough to simply dress as a “Harry Potter” character for Halloween — not when you could actually spend the evening at Hogwarts instead!

Thanks to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, that’s exactly what you could be doing this October. For the second year in a row, the studio is offering fans the chance to attend Hogwarts After Dark, where lucky guests will be able to enjoy cocktails, desserts and more on set of the Great Hall that actually appeared in the beloved “Harry Potter” films.

Hogwarts After Dark

The event kicks off with a cocktail and canapé reception at 7:30 p.m. and is followed by a tour of the studio, dinner in the Great Hall and dessert in the Forbidden Forest. Given that it’s Halloween, the Great Hall will be decorated with floating pumpkins, cauldrons full of lollipops and more to fit the spooky occasion.

Don’t be surprised if you spot a Death Eater or two, either. Lord Voldemort’s henchmen will roam around while “dressed in the original costumes from the film series allowing you to see up close the intricate details of the embroidered robes and hand-painted masks,” according to the Warner Bros. Studio website.

Hogwarts After Dark will take place on Oct. 26, 27 and 28 — but tickets don’t run cheap, as you might imagine. They’re priced at around $308 each. The Warner Bros. studio site is also located just outside of London — so if you’re hoping to come from the United States, you’ll have to factor the cost of a flight in there, too.

But hey, for a night at Hogwarts, it would totally be worth it!

Tickets go on sale on Aug. 28.

“Harry Potter”-Themed Halloween

If you aren’t able to make it across the pond to this special event, that doesn’t mean you have to give up on feeling like you’re at Hogwarts.

Target is selling a Sorting Hat so you’d be able to find out what house you belong in if you were to attend the esteemed wizarding school. Are you a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw? You can find out by purchasing one from Target for $24.99. (And perhaps pick up some other Harry Potter items at Target as well!)

Once you know which Hogwarts house you belong to, you can even make your very own Hogwarts-themed party. There are plenty of tips for decorating your space on Pinterest.

After you’ve taken care of the decor, it’ll be time to tackle the menu. That’s where “Harry Potter”-inspired recipes — which include everything from Butterbeer cupcakes to licorice wands — will come in handy.

So, whether you’re spending Halloween at the actual Hogwarts, or just recreating the feeling of being at Hogwarts for yourself, Oct. 31 is bound to be perfect for “Harry Potter” fans!
