Harry Styles Stopped His Concert To Help A Fan Having A Panic Attack

Did you know that Harry Styles has a heart of gold? As an avowed out-and-proud adult One Direction fan, I’ve been aware for years. But his goodness is now newsworthy, as Teen Vogue reports on a situation that happened at one of his recent solo shows in London. A fan had a panic attack while Styles was performing—and he actually stopped the show to make sure she was ok!

As seen in a video posted on Twitter, Styles paused his performance of “Just A Little Bit of Your Heart” (a song he originally wrote for Ariana Grande) after a fan showed distress.

It’s a little hard to make out what he’s saying through the fan-recorded video and the killer British accent, but Styles can be heard in the microphone asking, “Is everyone OK? You still with me? Do you want to help her up? If everyone could give her some space. If everyone could chill for one second, we’ll get some people.”

After security helped the fan, Styles restarted the song from the beginning.

The distressed fan, whose name is Annie, tweeted about her experience after the show. And of course, she didn’t hold back on her adulation for the pop star. Although her tweets now lie behind a protected account, Uproxx reports she tweeted:

“Harry Styles stopped his entire show because I got crushed and then watched me being pulled over the barrier. That was one of the most horrendous panic attacks I’ve ever had, like even the medics were terrified of the state I was in. Harry is so f*cking pure I can’t believe it. I feel like f*cking sh*t but I’m so grateful to Harry for having such a pure heart and stopping the show to get security to help me.”

Uproxx claims she tweeted that was given a free ticket to the next night’s show, since she missed a portion of that performance. Aw!

Styles, who is currently touring for his debut solo album “Harry Styles,” is well-known for his respect for his fanbase, especially younger female fans. Earlier in 2017, he told Rolling Stone:

“Who’s to say that young girls who like pop music—short for popular, right?—have worse musical taste than a 30-year-old hipster guy? That’s not up to you to say….How can you say young girls don’t get it? They’re our future. Our future doctors, lawyers, mothers, presidents, they kind of keep the world going. Teenage-girl fans, they don’t lie. If they like you, they’re there. They don’t act ‘too cool.’ They like you, and they tell you. Which is sick.”
