Here’s The Easiest (And Quickest) Way To Shuck Corn And Remove The Silk

It’s summertime and that means fresh corn on the cob. There’s nothing better than some good old-fashioned corn with a little butter and salt. The only challenge is the time and mess that comes with shucking corn—that silk gets everywhere!

Last summer, I came across a super easy way to cook and shuck all in one easy step, and it’s changed our approach entirely. Instead of shucking the corn and getting all the silk out before you cook it, simply cut the fat end off and then put the cob in the microwave for a couple of minutes. When it’s done, just shake it and the corn will fall out leaving all the silk inside the husk.  It’s amazing how great this works.

Watch the video above for a good demonstration.
