If you like your home to smell nice, but don’t like to use those synthetic air fresheners, you’ll want to try this easy trick to make your home smell like French vanilla coffee. Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons posted this image on their Facebook page, and it has been shared over 25,000 times.

You don’t have to spend a lot on materials, as you can use the cheapest coffee beans you can find (they’ll still smell great). To keep everything as non-toxic and natural as possible, look for soy or beeswax candles, which don’t release carcinogens into the air.

All you have to do is get yourself a bowl, some vanilla tea light candles (Amazon has a 12-pack for $5.95 + shipping) and coffee beans. Place the coffee beans in the bowl, and scoop out a hole for the tea light. Place the candle inside, and when you want your home scented, light it. The candle will warm up the coffee beans, which will let out an aroma that will blend with the vanilla scent.

The smell of vanilla is used for relaxation and anxiety relief, and combined with the soothing scent of coffee, you’ll be sure to feel calm and content with these candles around your home.
