Here’s How To Take Your Kids To The Movies For Less Than $1 This Summer
Enjoy the nice, cool air conditioning without breaking the bank!
Summer is awesome … for the roughly the first two weeks after school lets out.
Then, if your kids aren’t scheduled for back-to-back camps, they’re probably telling you how bored they are every 30 minutes.
If that’s your situation, we’ve got a solution for you: Cheap summer movies.
All summer long, Regal Cinemas is offering $1 movies for kids and families. On top of that, Cinemark is offering kids movies for $1 or $0.50 if you buy a summer movie pass.
Regal Cinemas is offering $1 admission to certain movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays all summer. The shows start at 10 a.m., which means you’ll be back home in time for lunch and a trip to the pool.
The best part? A portion of the proceeds from this deal go toward the Will Rogers Institute, a program that promotes medical research on cardiopulmonary disease such as hypertension, stroke and heart disease.
You can view all the Regal Cinemas theatres near you by entering your city on the company’s website.
Some of the movies they’re showing this summer include “Kung Fu Panda 3,” “Ice Age: Collision Course,” “Trolls,” “Alvin and the Chipmunks,” “Monster Trucks” and “Penguins of Madagascar.”
Cinemark is offering super cheap movies through its Summer Movie Clubhouse. You can pay $1 per movie, or buy a $5 pass that gets you into 10 movies, which brings the per-movie cost down to just $0.50.
To view a list of participating theatres across the country, visit the Cinemark website.
During the program, Cinemark theatres will play a different movie each week of the summer. Each theatre sets its own schedule and determines which movies to show each week, so you’ll want to look at your theatre’s schedule for specific details.
Some of the movies playing include “Sing,” “The Secret Life of Pets,” “Shrek the Third” and “The Angry Birds Movie.”
