We may only be halfway through 2020, but with the year we’ve all had, there’s no shame in looking toward the future.
For me, that means pretending it’s not July and 90 degrees outside and instead, getting excited for my very favorite time of the year — Halloween! It turns out I’m not the only one excited for the spooky season, as Hershey’s has not only announced their new Halloween candy lineup, but it’s also already hitting store shelves nationwide this month.
Hershey’s has a total of four new Halloween candies, including Reese’s inspired by Frankenstein, Kit Kats for witch fans (shout-out for it almost being appropriate to watch “Hocus Pocus” again!) and even a brand new “vampire” Kiss for you to sink your teeth into.
First up, new Reese’s Franken-Cups feature the iconic milk chocolate and peanut butter duo, but are now also paired with Franken-green crème on the bottom. They are available in snack size to pass out to trick-or-treaters or standard and king-size bars so you can enjoy them yourself.
Kit Kat is also brewing up a new green treat called witch’s brew. The new Kit Kats are marshmallow-flavored with a green crème surrounding the classic wafers. They join a few other new Kit Kat flavors, including apple pie and birthday cake, which are also available now.
You’ll also find cookies-and-crème “Fangs” and Hershey’s Kisses vampire chocolates, which look just like regular Hershey kisses until you bite into them. Inside, you’ll find a bright-red, strawberry-flavored crème that looks spine-tinglingly perfect for the season.
Of course, Hershey will also be bringing back classic fan favorites, so don’t worry if you’re looking for more of a nostalgic Halloween and not up for new treats.
Returning candy includes Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins, Kit Kat pumpkin pie miniatures, a glow-in-the-dark assortment and Hershey’s Kisses monster milk chocolates, which are regular Kisses with monsters on the wrappers.
There are sure to be tons of other Halloween candies hitting the market soon as well, so keep your eyes out next time you head to the store!
