Hershey’s Has Unveiled A New Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, And It’s A Dream Come True
Just when you thought Reese’s classic Peanut Butter Cups couldn’t get any better, the brand goes and announces a new flavor. After some serious teasing on social media, Hershey’s has just gone public with its latest candy bar mash-up. Without further ado, I give you: Reese’s Crunchy Cookie Cup.
Think of it as a Hershey’s Cookies ‘N Cream Bar coming together with the classic Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. The center of this new chocolate round will still be filled with the same creamy peanut butter, but this time, when you bite into it, you’ll also be hit with a crunch. The crunch, of course, is coming from none other than a chocolatey cookie piece. Umm, I’ve got one word for you: Yum.
The wait to find out exactly what this new flavor is may be over, but the wait to actually get this Reese’s cup in your mouth has only just begun. Sadly, the candy bar won’t hit stores until May. I don’t know about you, but I’ll just be over here counting the days.
Fans were getting seriously excited trying to figure out what this new Reese’s invention could be.
“I’m gonna be up all night searching Reese’s history trying to figure out what this new treat is gonna be,” one fan of the brand wrote on Facebook.
“My dreams have come true! Omg! Im [sic] so excited,” another fan wrote in response to the Reese’s Crunchy Cookie announcement.
“You could say this combination is ‘cuptivating.’ Reese’s fanatics are one-of-a-kind. They have a love and devotion to the brand that is unlike anything I have ever seen, and have been buzzing at the potential thought of a new innovation from the brand,” Reese’s senior brand manager, Ryan Riess, told Refinery29. “We’re excited to finally let the secret out of the bag and end the #Cupspiracy — announcing the new Reese’s Crunchy Cookie Cup. You could say we crushed it!”
Crushed it they did, indeed!
