Student Accepted Into All 8 Ivy League Schools, Plus Stanford

While most juniors and seniors are stressing about prom this time of year (or are busy asking Emma Stone to prom), New Jersey student Ifeoma White-Thorpe is busy making one of the biggest decisions of her life. You see, when applying to colleges, she had her sights set on the big leagues—and it turns out, the big leagues wanted her. All of them.

White-Thorpe was accepted into not one, but all eight Ivy League schools, plus Stanford University.

I got into Harvard early action so I figured I’ll just go there, so then I got into all the others and I was like, wait now I don’t know where I want to go,” White-Thorpe told ABC 7 News.

She’s definitely got quite the decision to make because — count ’em — she got into: Harvard, Yale, Columbia, University of Pennsylvania, Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Princeton and Stanford.

White-Thorpe says she plans to study global health and biology, so was motivated to apply to these schools because of their top-notch research facilities. She’s currently a senior and student government president at Morris Hills High School with a very big decision ahead of her. So which top-tier school will she attend?

According to her parents, the decision is entirely Ifeoma’s.

“We’re leaving it up to her,” Ifeoma’s parents, Andre and Patricia White-Thorpe, told ABC 7 News.

“At this point none of the schools I’ve applied to said they give merit scholarships, so I’m praying that they give me some more financial aid or some money, shout out to all of those schools, please give me something,” the teen told ABC 7 News. Shout out to those schools, for real!

While this is a very elite club, White-Thorpe isn’t the only high school senior with a very difficult choice to make this year. Martin Altenburg, a student from North Dakota, was also recently accepted to all of the Ivy Leagues.

We’d say these two are going places.
