Hilary Duff is pregnant with her second child, and even though she’s been through this pregnancy thing once before, that doesn’t mean it gets any easier. She posted a message on Instagram to remind all the mamas out there — and herself — that while pregnancy is hard, it’s also beautiful. She also points out that, moms — you’re beautiful, too!

“The boobs are big the belly is big the body is big. Man.. pregnancy is hard. Giving love to all mamas who make it look effortless… this journey is hard as hell and also incredibly special,” she wrote on Instagram about all the changes she’d noticed in her body.

She’s expecting her second child, a baby girl, with boyfriend Matthew Koma. The couple announced the news on Instagram back in June.

“Guess what guys! @matthewkoma and I made a little princess of our own and we couldn’t be more excited,” she wrote.

While the singer/actress seems ecstatic to become a mom of two, growing a human is easier said than done.

“Lovely to have a little life inside and to day dream of all the new adventures to come buuuut almost impossible to get my own shoes on … sick of getting up 9 times a night to pee and looking at this weird body in the mirror that is not my own at the moment,” she continued on Instagram.

Duff also praised women for being resilient and capable of going through all the usual stuff that comes along with pregnancy.

“Women are so bad ass, this was just a note to remind myself and remind others how’s [sic] strong and beautiful you are! WE GOT THIS,” she wrote.

Her message to moms was extremely uplifting, and it’s not the first time she’s spoken out as a reminder to love your bod. In August 2017, Duff was vacationing with her then-5-year-old son, and she posted a sweet photo of the two of them together. She was wearing a bathing suit and decided to beat the body shamers and say something empowering about her body before they had a chance to say anything negative.

“Since websites and magazines love to share ‘celeb flaws’—well I have them,” she wrote. “My body has given me the greatest gift of my life: Luca, 5 years ago. I’m turning 30 in September and my body is healthy and gets me where I need to go. Ladies, lets be proud of what we’ve got and stop wasting precious time in the day wishing we were different, better, and unflawed.”

While pregnancy is full of ups and downs, she still seems to be embracing this stage of her life and it doesn’t hurt that she’s got a great support system with Koma by her side.

He’s the perfect person to compare tummy size with, as she pointed out on Instagram:

“I win,” she wrote.

And she — along with all of the other moms out there — is definitely winning, in pretty much all aspects of life.  Just in case you don’t always feel that way, Duff is here to remind you, one inspiring message at a time.
