Your Kids Will Love This Free Home Depot Kids Workshop to Build A Candy Heart Box
The holiday season might be behind us, but that doesn’t mean fun and festive crafts have to stop. With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, there are plenty of creative projects your kids can make to keep them in a holiday mood, including a heart-shaped candy box at Home Depot’s next free kids’ workshop.
On Feb. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon, just head to your local Home Depot so that you and your child can build and decorate a personalized candy box. After they make it, they will get to take home their creation for free. In addition to making their craft, your kids will also receive a free certificate of achievement, a workshop apron and a commemorative pin, while supplies last. And the boxes do look awfully cute:
You do have to RSVP first at Home Depot’s workshops website. Just enter your ZIP code to select your local store, and then scroll down until you see the registration form for the free kids’ workshop.
If you’d rather stay home to make a Valentine’s Day craft, check out these DIY Valentine’s Day mailboxes your kids are sure to love. The boxes can be used to collect Valentine’s Day cards at your child’s school if their classroom is having a party.
The best part? You can customize the mailboxes by choosing your favorite characters. Check out this Darth Vader option for “Star Wars” fans from the Foster2Forever blog:
There’s also an adorable unicorn option from blogger Artsy Fartsy Mama, as seen below:

Will you try making any Valentine’s Day-themed crafts with your kids this year, either at Home Depot or at home?
