Summer is officially in full swing and that means your kids are likely to start saying they’re bored (if they haven’t already!). Sure, a break from school in beautiful weather is great, but even playing outside can get monotonous!
Home Depot is helping to cure at least one of those “boring” days by offering a free workshop for kids ages 5 to 12. On Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. until noon, your child can build a set of “bookworm bookends” in a Home Depot store. They will use wood to construct them and can then decorate the bookends with paint and stickers.
Along with getting to take the bookends home, your child will also receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin, while supplies last.
Home Depot also offers adult workshops for projects such as installing toilets, ceiling fans and tile flooring, as well as how to build a storage caddy. You’ll find instructions, demonstrations and hands-on learning at all the adult workshops, but materials will not be provided.
