Take a look inside Homesense, the new HomeGoods spin-off store

It’s easy to spend hours upon hours inside of any store that sells furniture and home decor (HomeGoods, Ikea, Crate & Barrel, Target’s home section—and on and on!). Whether you’re in the middle of a redecorating project or just fantasizing about your dreams home, you can get lost in the aisle of those shops! If you love decorating, you’re going to be excited about the new HomeGoods spin-off store, Homesense.

Certain publications and bloggers had the chance to preview the first store location in Framingham, Massachusetts, before it officially opened on Aug. 17, and thankfully, we’re able to live vicariously through them, thanks to the photos they’ve shared on social media.

Once you see the inside Homesense, you might be tempted to move in to the place. Apparently, this store is just like HomeGoods—except there’s more of everything. Take a look at this pic from Instagrammer Alexandra Yavarow: throw pillows for days!

Looking at the snap below from blogger Jessica Bruno, it looks like Homesense has even more large furniture pieces and lighting options than HomeGoods, as well as  appliances.

“HomeSense will offer customers a different mix of home fashions than HomeGoods, but at the same great values,” Ernie Herrman, president and CEO of TJX (HomeGoods’ parent company), said in a statement. “We believe we are significantly underpenetrated in the total U.S. home market and feel there is enormous opportunity for us to gain share in this space.”

The way the store is set up is a little different than the HomeGoods shopper is used to, too. The chain plans to display items as you’d find them in your home. Expect to see hanging light fixtures, frames, mini living room set ups—you know, just so you get an idea of how these pieces look in a more natural setting.

If you can see past all of the glowing light fixtures, take a look at the gorgeous floral armchair and sleek ivory leather couch in the photo below, posted on Instagram by blogger Samatha Matt.

Even the pros are already loving this place. Nested Interior Design shared this photo of the interior, with the caption: “Thanks @homesense_us and @TJX for the preview of your beautiful store. Everything an Interior Designer loves (pillows! books!) and so much more!”

And the HomeGoods and Homesense president feels sure that you’ll still enjoy shopping from both stores, despite their similarities.

“Just as our customers enjoy shopping both TJ Maxx and Marshalls, we are confident that loyal customers and new shoppers alike will be excited about shopping both Homesense and HomeGoods,” HomeGoods and Homesense president, John Ricciuti, told People. “We are excited to bring consumers an expanded selection of quality merchandise at incredible prices, along with a new shopping experience in which they can discover and curate the home of their dreams.”

It’s clear that there’s plenty of excitement for this store. Just take a look at the busy shop in the photo below from Justin Tsai Photography. Between the comments on social media and the crowds at the grand opening, we’d say this store is going to be a hit!

If you live near Framingham, Massachusetts, you can now officially visit the first U.S. Homesense location, but if you aren’t nearby—fear not! Three more locations are slated to come in 2017 in East Hanover and Ocean Township, New Jersey, and Westwood, Massachusetts.
