Hormel is giving away bacon-scented face masks

Several months have already gone by since the novel coronavirus pandemic began, so if you’ve left the house at all, you’ve likely had to wear a mask when going into a public space.

While all cities have their own regulations, odds are that masks have been required at least in some places you’ve had to go. And while we know how important they are to help stop the spread of COVID-19, there’s no denying they’re not exactly fun to wear.

They can be uncomfortable on your ears or may make you feel hot. And although experts agree that they do not limit your oxygen intake, it still isn’t exactly fun to breathe in them. That’s why Hormel has launched a first-of-its-kind mask that you may actually want to wear, because — well, it smells like bacon!

Using what they say is the “latest in pork-scented technology”, the Hormel Black Label Breathable Bacon mask is a two-ply multi-fiber cloth that keeps the delicious smell of bacon always wrapped around your nose and mouth.

While the masks are not for sale, bacon lovers have a chance to win one, while supplies last. Now through Oct. 28, just visit Hormel’s website to enter for a chance to win. Winners will be randomly selected on Nov. 4.

Hormel will also give back to hunger relief by donating one meal to Feeding America for every request on their website, up to 10,000 meals.
