These hotels are known for looking after the world’s biggest stars — so have your autograph books and selfie sticks at the ready.

The Beverly Hills Hotel, Beverly Hills, California

One of the most famous hotels in the world (and reportedly the inspiration for the song “Hotel California” by The Eagles), The Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills is a favorite of Nicole Richie and has a long history of other famous guests, too, including Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

Gramercy Park Hotel, New York

In the 1970s, New York’s landmark Gramercy Park Hotel was a hangout for stars like David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Blondie and the Rolling Stones, and to this day it attracts a number of celebrity guests. “Crazy Rich Asians” star Gemma Chan describes its private park, which is accessible only by key, as “an oasis in the city.”

Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France

Pippa Middleton, Cindy Crawford, Leonardo DiCaprio and former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Patrick Dempsey are just a few of the stars who escape to St. Barths, a tiny island in the French West Indies, for some R&R. The 61-room Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France, owned by the Louis Vuitton fashion house and recently redesigned by French interior designer Jacques Grange, is their hotel of choice.

The Bowery Hotel, New York

Located in New York’s hip East Village, The Bowery Hotel is a regular haunt of actress Kristen Stewart. Other celebrities who’ve rented rooms include Ashley Olsen, Blake Lively, Rachel Bilson and Kiefer Sutherland.

The Petit Ermitage Hotel, West Hollywood

Actor Idris Elba has a soft spot for The Petit Ermitage Hotel in West Hollywood, which travel club Mr and Mrs Smith describes as “an eccentric muddle of art, antiques, flora and fauna.” Elba knows all about its unique vibe.

“It’s really quirky with a very old school Mexican vibe,” he told The Telegraph. “It’s super cool.”

The Maroma Resort & Spa, Riviera Maya, Mexico

The Maroma Resort & Spa, located on a white sandy beach and surrounded by exotic gardens, is a celebrity favorite on the Riviera Maya, Mexico. It’s welcomed a long list of stars, including Sharon Stone, Celine Dion, Cameron Diaz, Sean Penn, Tony Blair and Sir Elton John — who have all apparently stayed in room 23.

San Ysidro Ranch, Santa Ynez Mountains, California

A Travel + Leisure survey in 2017 deemed San Ysidro Ranch in the foothills of California’s Santa Ynez Mountains one of the most romantic hotels in the world, so it’s no surprise that it’s been the venue for celebrity celebrations for decades. Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh got married there, as did Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. Other couples, including John F. and Jacqueline Kennedy and Julia Roberts and Danny Moder, spent their honeymoons there.

One&Only Reethi Rah, Maldives

When she wants to escape, Milla Jojovich heads for Reethi Rah, where she’s likely to rub shoulders with a host of other celebs. This Maldives island, described by Jojovich as “beyond amazing,” has also been the luxury vacation destination of choice for David Beckham, Gordon Ramsay, Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe.

Hotel Raphael, Paris

The five-star Hotel Raphael, located near the Arc de Triomphe, has an old-school elegance that makes it a go-to for discerning celebrities like John Malkovich.

“It is very quiet, not too big and still quite lovely,” the actor told The Telegraph. “Since I stayed there for the first time in 1985, it still has the same concierge, same bellboys, and same barman. I have stayed in a lot of terrific hotels, but this one remains consistently excellent.”

The Setai, Miami Beach, Florida

Before The Setai’s 40th-floor six-bedroom penthouse was sold to a private buyer for $27 million in 2013 — making it the most expensive condo ever sold in South Florida — it was a favorite spot for Madonna, as well as Simon Cowell and Jim Carrey. According to Conde Nast Traveler, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are also fans of this serene spot.

Sandy Lane Hotel, Barbados

Check in to the five-star Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados and you might just bump into local girl Rihanna, who likes to head down there when she’s back home. And there’s no danger of her not getting a room because she bought a 10-square-foot, five-bed villa at the resort for $22 million in 2013. We don’t know if she parties with Simon Cowell and Tiger Woods while she’s there, but they’ve also stayed at the beachfront resort.

Delano South Beach, Miami, Florida

Known as “the hotel that changed South Beach forever,” the Delano South Beach is part of the portfolio of Ian Schrager, who’s perhaps most famous for managing Studio 54 in the late 1970s. As you’d expect, the luxurious Miami hotspot, which was designed by Philippe Starck, attracts a stylish crowd, including Calvin Klein (below), Oprah Winfrey and Madonna, who stays true to form and always rents the penthouse.

The Langham London, England, UK

Justin Bieber celebrated his 19th birthday at The Langham, dubbed Europe’s first “grand hotel” (though Bieber attracted the wrong kind of birthday attention when he attacked photographers snapping photos of him outside the hotel). This landmark isn’t just home to celebrity guests; it’s a star in its own right, having appeared in “GoldenEye,” “Wonderland” and “Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties,” to name but a few flicks.

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

In an interview with Outlook Traveller, Paula Abdul declared the iconic Marina Bay Sands in Singapore to be her favorite hotel in the world, describing it a “blockbuster.”

“I love the landscaping that they have done in the Sky Park,” she said. “Wouldn’t it be an ideal sunset, spent lounging by their infinity pool on top of the world with a drink in your hand?”

Son Brull Boutique Hotel & Spa, Mallorca

In the foothills of Northern Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains, near the town of Pollensa, lies the Son Brull Boutique Hotel & Spa, a favorite of actress Sasha Alexander.

“It’s such a secret, it’s so good,” she told InStyle. “It was an old monastery and was converted into a 32 bedroom boutique hotel, and it’s like having your own villa. It’s in a vineyard with tennis and a pool, and it’s one of the most romantic, special places I’ve ever been. Each room is totally different and unique, it’s great.”

The Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera, which has a heated seawater infinity pool carved out of the bedrock, is legendary for its celebrity guests. Soho House, Berlin, Germany

“Silver Linings Playbook” actress Jacki Weaver loves Soho House Berlin.

“It’s just so cool, you look around and there’s so many cool young people,” she told InStyle.

And with venues in New York, Malibu, Chicago, Istanbul, Toronto, West Hollywood, London and the surrounding areas, everyone from Kaia Gerber to Meghan Markle (her spa-themed wedding shower was hosted at members-only retreat Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds) has sampled the Soho House experience.

Caldera House, Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Thanks to Instagram (and Vogue), we know that Gigi Hadid spent a ski vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Caldera House was her hotel of choice. The ultra-exclusive, eight-room boutique hotel cost a cool $100 million to build and offers its guests all the modern amenities and stylish decor one could want. One highlight is the large infinity-edge hot tub on a terrace overlooking the valley.

Weimar Resort + Villas, Turks and Caicos

Drew Barrymore spent time in the Weimar Resort + Villas on the Caribbean island of Turks and Caicos, posting on Instagram that she was feeling “truly spoiled” during her stay.

“From sunrise to sunset, this place stole our hearts!” she wrote, alongside a video of the idyllic setting and a picture of her party parasailing. “Thank you for treating me to the best weekend with my girls. How amazing is this view?!”

Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Costa Rica, Papagayo Bay

For their babymoon, “Extra” host Mario Lopez and his wife Courtney took their two kids to Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Costa Rica, located on the secluded beach of Playa Manzanillo in the middle of sheltered Culebra Bay. The family was spotted relaxing by the pool in a VIP cabana, walking on the volcanic sand beach and enjoying the range of restaurants.

Boca Raton Resort & Club, Palm Beach, Florida

Reality TV star Bethenny Frankel enjoyed a stay at Florida’s Boca Raton Resort & Club (aka the “Pink Palace”) in February, sharing pictures and videos from her trip on Instagram. The beachfront resort, part of the Waldorf Astoria group, attracts lots more stars due to celebrity tennis opens and other events.

Six Senses Zil Pasyon, Seychelles

Seychelles, an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, is home to the luxurious Six Senses Zil Pasyon. The all-villa boutique resort, which is on the lesser-known private-island Félicité, “bring[s] on feelings of intense happiness,” says Mr and Mrs Smith. Ashley Graham turned her 2017 stay at the resort into a photo session, including shots of her snorkeling and enjoying the resident ice cream cart.

Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, Cayman Islands

In 2017, country music star Maren Morris took a break at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, located on the world-famous Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands. The resort, which was voted No. 6 top resort in the Caribbean Islands by Conde Nast readers in 2018, clearly has that “want to stay forever” vibe.

“Not interested in leaving,” Morris captioned one of her beach snaps on Instagram.

Miraval Resort and Spa, Tuscon, Arizona

Ariel Winter of “Modern Family” fame enjoyed the equestrian activities on offer at Miraval Resort and Spa in Tucson, Arizona (the Equine Experience aims to illuminate your own fears and learned behaviors through your interactions with the horses). Oprah Winfrey, Julianne Hough and Giuliana Rancic are other stars who love the desert retreat with a wellness twist.

Victory Ranch, The Barn, Utah

If you want to bump into actress Katherine Heigl in Utah, try hanging out at The Barn at Victory Ranch. She shared pictures of her stay on Instagram in 2018 and revealed that it’s her family’s “favorite spot” in the state. The Barn is actually two barns: a Family Barn with an ice cream shop, game room and pizzeria, and a Wellness Barn with a fully-equipped fitness center, juice bar and spa.

1 Hotel South Beach, Miami

“An eco hotel inspired by nature will always be my #1,” Ellie Goulding wrote on Facebook of 1 Hotel South Beach. The boutique beachfront hotel’s “one of a kind natural touches” include cardboard hangers, reclaimed wood headboards and plantable welcome notes; it also has its own special wellness program, including SoulCycle and a Spartan Gym.

According to Observer, Leonardo DiCaprio and Scott Eastwood, Clint Eastwood’s son, have also been spotted partying on the rooftop of 1 Hotel.

Four Seasons Costa Palmas, Mexico

Still so exclusive it’s not open to the public, the luxe Four Seasons Costa Palmas in Mexico (the first Four Seasons marina resort) has had a strictly A-list guest list so far, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk, Milla Jovovich and Colin Hanks. It finally opens in mid-2019, but if you want to join the Beach Club (where all the celebs hang out), you’ll need to buy a Four Seasons Private Villa (costing $5 to $21 million) or Residence ($1.6 million to $6 million), plus pay founding membership dues of $100,000 and annual fees of $25,000.

Hotel Le Meurice, Paris, France

Hailed as “the best location in all of Paris, especially for museum lovers,” by Conde Nast Traveler, the super-chic Hotel Le Meurice in Paris is a favorite for Beyoncé and Jay-Z (according to Jay’s song “Glory,” the couple’s first child Blue Ivy was conceived at the hotel), who took over the Belle Etoile suite at a hefty price tag of $20,000 a night. Other celebrities who have stayed at Le Meurice include Kristen Stewart, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, Anna Wintour, Kate Moss and Justin Bieber.

Mexico’s Los Cabos is a celebrity hot spot, a firm favorite with Jennifer Lopez, George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Brad Pitt, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Jordan, Brooke Shields, Madonna, Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker — to name but a few.
