Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar were one of Hollywood’s hottest couples back in the ’90s. They started dating after they worked together on “I Know What You Did Last Summer” in 1997, and they were married in 2002. The pair has a son and a daughter (Rocky James and Charlotte Grace), and they have done the unthinkable in Hollywood: stayed married.

Yep, our favorite ’90s duo celebrated 15 years of marriage in 2017. What’s their secret?

Prinze told E! News that their relationship has lasted so long partially because they started out as friends:

We were just friends. That’s one of the reasons I think our relationship has always been so good. We were just friends for a good two years before we ever went on a date. She knew what kind of guy I was. She knew what my morals were, what my priorities were and visa versa. We already kind of knew all the faults in the other person.

The pair actually had their first date kind of by accident. They were supposed to be joining a mutual friend for dinner, but when the friend never showed, Prinze and Gellar decided to enjoy a meal without their pal. Hmm…It makes us wonder if their friend had this planned all along!

Prinze says that humor has also been a huge part of their connection: “As long as they can make you laugh, laughter lasts forever.”

Prinze Jr., an actor-turned-cookbook author, told the Huffington Post that he prides himself on his cooking.

“They say the secret to getting a man is through his stomach. That’s not true, it’s a little further south,” he said. “For a woman, it’s the stomach. If you can feed ‘em, you’re good to go.”

Don’t believe him? Well, give his advice a try with his recipe for “Stalker Pasta” (so named because a fellow actor “stalked” him for two years straight for the recipe!).

Here is wishing the happy couple many more years of wedded bliss!
