How to carve a pumpkin with a rotary tool this Halloween

Dremel/YouTube

‘Tis the season for pumpkin carving. And love it or hate it, even if you don’t consider yourself a pro at the whole pumpkin carving thing, you can still ensure your stoop is the best-decorated one on the block!

It’s actually pretty simple to achieve artist-level carved pumpkins with a little help from only a rotary tool, a stencil and a humble toothpick. That’s really all it takes! In fact, this video from the Dremel YouTube channel shows you just how it’s done:

Once you’re finished, you’ll have an expertly carved pumpkin — minus the “skills” you thought were necessary and, you know, a knife.

Now that you’ve got the know-how, it’s time to make sure you’ve got the materials. You can find a cordless rotary tool on Amazon for just $23.59.

And you can find stencils online from websites such as thebestideasforkids.com, pumpkinlady.com and pumpkinpile.com.

As usual, Pinterest is a great resource for inspiration. Here’s just a glimpse at the photos and tutorials you can find for creating the perfect pumpkin scene this Halloween:
