Free Redbox Rental: How To Get A Free 1-Night Movie Or Game Rental

It's good for a movie or video game!

While I will forever be a fan of heading to Blockbuster to rent some movies, I admit I am OK with that just being a memory. Why? Because renting movies is so incredibly easy now that even the nostalgia of browsing rows and rows of alphabetized DVDs or VHS tapes doesn’t make me want it back.

From streaming services like Netflix to the magic device that is Redbox, where you can get a newly released movie while shopping at the grocery store, watching new movies has become one of the easiest forms of entertainment. Even better? Sometimes you can get rental codes from Redbox to make your movie-watching not only simple, but free too!

Just as the official start of winter begins creeping up, Redbox is gifting us all with a free one-night Blu-ray or DVD rental code to use on any movie in your local box. All you have to do is text the word VALPAK to 727272 and you’ll get a code for a free rental. Then, just download the Redbox app or visit their website and use your code to reserve a movie before picking it up. The deal is not valid on streaming services.

If you’re not a fan of movies, the code also works on video games. The deal expires on Feb. 28, 2019 and there are new movies added to the box every week, so you have plenty of time to find one you’ll enjoy.
